I was just looking again at Man Ray's solarised portrait of Lee Miller. Isn't it utterly beautiful? This morning I read a review on WWD of a new illustrated book of the life of Kiki de Montparnasse, by French comics creators Catel and Bocquet (SelfMadeHero). Kiki was Alice Prin: model, dancer, nightclub singer, Man Ray's lover, muse. I want to know more about her, don't you? Shall report back ASAP, but for now, swoon over her back-as-guitar thanks to the Man (Oh, and his portaits the exquisite Miller, skinnymalinx Peggy Guggenheim when she but a babe, and mad-eyed Luisa Casati).
